Associated Baptist Press Foundation

Associated Baptist Press Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization related to Associated Baptist Press Inc., which is known today as Baptist News Global. The Foundation manages endowment assets intended to support a free and faithful religious press.

Associated Baptist Press was formed in 1990 as a collaborative news service and over time became a publisher of its own original content through daily online posts. After a merger with the Religious Herald newspaper of Virginia, ABP took the name Baptist News Global.

The singular purpose of the Associated Baptist Press Foundation is to provide ongoing financial support for Baptist News Global. This will be accomplished through:

Endowment  — The Foundation is building an endowment for Associated Baptist Press, Inc., through cash gifts and planned giving. These funds come through direct solicitation of current and potential donors. Gifts will be invested through the Foundation for distribution to BNG and staff will solicit these gifts, with some assistance from the respective boards of directors. HighGround Advisors (formerly the Baptist Foundation of Texas) is the primary investment manager for the Foundation. See our most recent 990 filing.

Annual fund drives – Current and potential donors will be solicited at least three times per year through direct mail and personal contacts (visits, telephone calls) in support of the annual operating fund for ABP. Excess funds will be invested through the Foundation for use as needed.

The Foundation is managed by a board of directors.
